God's Purpose for All (Part 1)

WORSHIP

WORD: GOD’S PURPOSE FOR ALL (Part 1)

When God planned on creating man, he visualized a being that could reproduce his character and will (Ephesians 2:10). He designed people to enjoy an intimate and powerful communion with the Creator. Here are the 6 purposes of God for his people. We will start with purpose 1-3...

  1. FORM US IN HIS IMAGE (Genesis 2:7) - tumanggap tayo ng buhay (breath of life) mula sa Diyos mismo kahit hinulma niya tayo mula sa alabok (clay). The weak clay was transformed into the image and likeness of God, becoming an intelligent being, capable of expressing independence and emotions. Our physical nature connects us to the earth and created beings plus our spiritual nature connects us to God.
  2. PLANT US IN A PLACE OF BLESSING (Genesis 2:8-9) - the garden represents the blessings of God to all people for us to enjoy. The two trees in the middle of the garden represents: (a) tree of life - eternal life, and (b) tree of the knowledge of good and evil - the ultimate tester to our heart. Take Note: All the unhappiness we are now experiencing are the result of Adam & Eve’s disobedience.
  3. DELEGATE RESPONSIBILITY TO US (Genesis 2:15) - we are responsible to take care and to work our garden of blessings. Our life of integrity will help us develop the spiritual ability to discern if the garden is out of order. Our goal to make it into a perfect dwelling place for God.
