God's Purpose for All (Part 2)

WELCOME

Make everyone feel accepted.

If you were given the opportunity to go back in your past what year and event/situation would it be? Why?

WORSHIP

Use any of the five vowels to describe who God is for you this whole week.

WORD: GOD’S PURPOSE FOR ALL (Part 2)

God designed people to enjoy an intimate and powerful communion with him. Let’s review the three purposes why he created us...

  1. FORMS US IN HIS IMAGE (Genesis 2:7) - he gave us life and our physical nature, and spiritual nature so that he can stay connected with us.
  2. PLANTS US IN A PLACE OF BLESSING (Genesis 2:8-9) - he place us in the garden so that we can enjoy his blessings.
  3. DELEGATES RESPONSIBILITY TO US (Genesis 2:15) - he gave us the responsibility to take care and to work our garden of blessings.

Next we go to the next three purposes:

  1. GIVES US FREEDOM OF CHOICE (Genesis 2:16-17) - God’s will is to create the perfect man in the perfect atmosphere and to give him perfect liberty. Thus we are to make true-to-life and “Godly” choices by which our freewill can operate perfectly. We are never to use our freedom of choice for evil and unrighteous actions.
  2. GIVES US THE IDEAL HELPMATE (Genesis 2:18) - one of the reasons why God created woman was to give man the perfect companion. Thus, it is in God’s design that man (male) and woman (female) must work in partnership. Walang lamang at walang lone ranger!
  3. ENTRUSTS US WITH HIS AUTHORITY (Genesis 2:19-20a) - Adam had to decide what name he would give to each animal. God also gave us the ability to name our days, and the outcome of everyone of our days will depend on the name we give them. He gave us the authority to make our lives and days beautiful.
